Safar Center Researcher Dr. Chris Horvat was recently awarded the Children’s Trust Grant from the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

The grant will fund a project that will generate new hypotheses and findings related to clinical and environment factors associated with fentanyl requirements, in critically ill children. The goal of Dr. Horvat’s project is to lay the groundwork for predictive models incorporating clinical circumstances, patient characteristics and genotype for the precision ultimate delivery of these medications to critically ill children.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Horvat!
