The Safar Center and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh were pleased to welcome Dr. Allan Doctor for a visit and lecture on November 12th. Dr. Doctor is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics at the Washington University School of Medicine and the Chief of Pediatric Critical Care at St Louis Children’s Hospital. He presented a lecture at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh titled “Sepsis Induced Red Cell Dysfunction (SIRD): Failed Organ Hiding in Plain Sight,” and provided helpful reviews and comments to our pediatric fellows and junior faculty who presented their ongoing research work to him. We wish to thank Dr. Doctor for visiting our program.
